Alex J. Walter

January 17, 1991-May 24, 2026

Alex J. Walter, 35, of Altoona, passed away Sunday at his residence. He was born in Altoona the son of Faith (Bowers) Walter and the late Robert Walter.

Alex married Casandra Burick on February 29, 2016.

He is survived by mother, Faith of Altoona; his loving wife, Cassie and three children: Noazayiah Walter, Breeaunna Shelow and Jeremiah Duvall all of Altoona. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews: Lucas (Dakota), Sadie, Korttnee, Nova, Feeya, Bella; a great-niece, Aurora and great-nephews: Keyi, Greyson and Ashton.

Alex was preceded in death by his brother, Robert A. Walter and nephew Robbie T. Walter.

He was a graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in machine tool communications technology from Thaddeus Stevens School in Lancaster.

Alex had been a member of The Well of Blair County.

He enjoyed riding his dirt bikes and motorcycles; but loved spending time with his family and dogs, Abe and Tipsy.

Friends will be received from 10-11 am, Saturday, June 6, 2026 at The Well of Blair County, 605 Burns Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601, where a funeral service will immediately follow with Pastor John Godissart.

Arrangements have been thoughtfully provided by The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be directed to the family or Mending Hearts Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 97, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.

    I just remember a young man tht had alot thrown at him at a very young age tht never took his spirit to keep going on in life to where I never not saw him without seeing him smile. His love for his wife and their children I truly admired.
