August 23, 1928-February 4, 2024

Aline D. Wolf, 95, of Fort Myers, Florida formerly of Altoona, PA passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Sunday, February 4, 2024, following a slow decline of her health.

She was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on August 23, 1928, the first beautiful daughter to Anne (McNally) and Patrick L. Donahoe. She leaves behind her devoted husband Gerald P. Wolf to whom she was married since 1950.

Aline also leaves to cherish her memory her children Georgette Wolf (Amanda), Catherine Maresca (Charles), Mary Martone (William), Patrick D. Wolf (Janine), Gregory Wolf (Debra), Charles J. Wolf (Wendy), Christopher Wolf (Julie), Dorothea Wolf (Bruce), Grace Rainer (Scott); and seventeen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and her sister, Ann Marie Swartz.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Grace O’Connor and her parents.

Aline received her Bachelor of Arts in education from Marywood College. For over fifty years she was a writer, lecturer, trainer and innovator in Montessori education. Especially dear to her was a focus on nurturing the spirit within and peace among all people.

She enjoyed playing bridge, music, tennis, art and travel. Best of all was time with her family and friends.

Friends will be received from 11 AM Saturday April 13 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 344 Baynton Ave., Altoona, PA 16602, followed by a Mass at noon with celebrant, Msgr. Michael Becker. Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery.

    I am so sorry to hear of Aline passing. I met her through Mary Burgoon, her dear friend. I was so impressed by Aline's enthusiasm and her pioneer spirit. A great loss for her family and all who knew her. Sincerely, Jane Madden Becker
