Obituary For Alston S. Turchetta

Alston S. Turchetta Mar. 20, 1948 – Oct. 8, 2020

Alston S. Turchetta, 72, of Hollidaysburg, passed at Select Specialty Hospital of Johnstown. Alston was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, daughter of the late Harold and Ollie (Menfee) Stirling. On Feb. 7, 1970, she married Patrick F. Turchetta in Richmond, Va. Surviving are her husband and sons, Jason (Melissa) of New Cumberland, Pa. and Brian Turchetta of Crafton, Md.; one grandson, Nicholas. Alston was a 1970 graduate of the University of Richmond with a B.A. in History and Clarion University with a Masters in Library Science. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020 at 10 a.m., in The Stevens Mortuary Chapel, 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602, where Covid-19 protocols will be followed. Committal will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family requests that donations be made to your favorite animal charity in memory of Alston.
