Obituary For Amy R. St. John

Amy R. St. John Sept. 21, 1921- Dec. 20, 2020

Amy R. St. John, 99, Altoona, passed away Sunday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late James and Flora (Hildebrand) Shaner. Amy married Donald F. St. John and he preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 2001. Amy is survived by her children: Donald St. John of Peach Bottom, Pa., Steve (Nancy) St. John of Altoona, Lynn Durbin of Altoona, Susan Tarricellas of Peach Bottom, Pa., Cheryl Bilka of Altoona and Amy (Mark) Glasson of Altoona; sixteen grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Joey, Carrie and Michael Durbin. Amy was a longtime member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing pinochle and going on senior bus trips. Amy’s greatest love though was her family and gathering them together. Amy’s family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Maybrook for their care and compassion especially the last week. A private funeral mass will be held at the convenience of the family.
