Obituary For Angela Cory Gesser
Cory Gesser Angela S. Gesser May 24, 1948-Jan. 30, 2021 Angela Cory Gesser, 72, Altoona, passed away, Saturday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Pa. She was born in New York, NY, the daughter of the late Anna Louisa Pellegri. Cory married William A. Gesser on September 16, 1996. Cory is survived by her husband, William A. Gesser; two sons, Lloyd E. Colls of Mechanicsburg, Vasilios Locky Pentsas of Altoona; three daughters, Donna A. Ceballos, Vaia M. Pentsas-Myers and Heather G.P. Berryman all of Altoona; thirteen grandchildren: Jasmine Clark, George Ceballos, Sergio Ceballos, Lauren Krampen, Lloyd E. Colls II, Cory Park, Elijah Colls, Adriana Myers, Sophia Berryman, Shawn Berryman, Andreas Pentsas, Mireya Pentsas and Dysis Pentsas; and many loved great-grandchildren; brothers, Carl and Emeroy and a sister, Rose. She was preceded in death by her former spouses: Robert T. Valente and Vasilios Pentsas. Cory was a loving wife, mother, sister, witness for our Heavenly Father and caregiver to all who knew her to say the least. She was so full of light and love that everyone who’s life was blessed by her knew a special kind of love and joy. No one ever left her home or presence empty, in hand or in heart. Cory lived a life that put those around her in awe, she was blessed with many talents, closest to her heart was the gift of art. Her creativity was unmatchable by most, she could turn anything into something beautiful and meaningful. It was as if everything she touched became filled with beauty and life.
There was no obstacle too big for her to overcome, with a smile and God’s help, she defeated anything in her way. She truly lived her life as a witness to our Lord. Many of her certifications were in his word and teachings. She knew a passage for anything and always presented it beautifully. From her younger years in NY to her many years in PA and everywhere in between she spread beauty, love and light to all around her. She was an athlete, artist, teacher, student, veterinary assistant, lab assistant, barista, gardener, groomer, and so many more wonderful things. In all things, she lived a life of love and a witness to God. Remember her with love and joy and the light that she was. We will forever miss her, until we meet again. Friends will be received, Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021 from 2:30-4:30 P.M., at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc, 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602.
