Obituary For Ann C. Pfahler

Ann C. Pfahler March 26, 1954 – January 16, 2026

Ann C. Pfahler, 71, of Altoona, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 16, 2026.

Born on March 26, 1954, the daughter of the late Joseph B. and Cyrene (Brunkenhoefer) Collins.

She was a beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend whose love of life was evident in all she did. She lived a life marked by generosity, curiosity, and a deep love for the people around her.

Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 33 years, Gary F. Pfahler; her father, Joseph B. Collins, Jr.; her mother, Cyrene F. Collins; and her sister, Victoria A. Drobner.

She is survived by her brothers, Joseph B. Collins III and his wife Luisa, and James M. Collins; her sister, Yvonne M. Colache, and her husband Steve. She also leaves behind her special friend, Robert Ellis. Ann is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will remember her warmth, humor, and unwavering support.

A proud 1972 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School and a 1976 graduate of Texas Lutheran College, Ann carried her love of learning throughout her life. She found joy in reading, traveling, shopping, and opening her heart to family and friends, always ready to laugh and making everyone feel loved and appreciated.

Ann will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Ann will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and her spirited personality.

A memorial service will be held 11 AM, Friday, January 23, 2026 at Zion Lutheran, 500 Allegheny St, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648, with Rev. David Bowman.

Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
