Obituary For Anna R. Stahl

Anna R. Stahl July 14, 1934 – October 25, 2020

Anna R. Stahl, 86, Altoona, passed away Sunday morning at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center. She was born in Altoona, daughter of Theodore Fonner and Audra M. Fonner-Delozier On August 27, 1955, she married Robert L. Stahl, who preceded her in death in January 1990. She is survived by a son, Robert and daughter-in-law, Dee of Hollidaysburg; grandson, Robert Aaron of Pittsburgh; and granddaughter, Linzie Ann and husband, Logan Arnett, and great-grandson-to-be, Luka, of Longwood, FL. She is also survived by sisters: Marge McCloskey of Bellwood and Sondra Lewis of Woodland; brother-in-law, George Thompson and wife, Joyce of Bellwood; sister-in-law, Christine Delozier of Altoona; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; mother, Audra Delozier; father, Daniel Delozier; sisters: Patricia Thompson and Lucinda Acker and husband, Thomas Acker; brother, Daniel Delozier; and brothers-in-law: Gerald McCloskey and Ted Wisor. Anna was a 1952 graduate of Altoona High School. She served as Corporal in the Women’s Army Corp in Fort Riley, Kansas during the Korean War Conflict. She attended First Grace Brethren Church in Altoona. Anna was an avid sports fan, especially college and professional football and followed Penn State and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Anna loved to talk and made friends easily. She was a loving, caring, and funny lady. As loving as she was to everyone, there was nothing on God’s green earth that she loved more than her grandson, Bobby, granddaughter, Linzie Ann and husband, Logan, and her great-grandson-to-be, Luka. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no services will be held. Charitable donations, in memory of Anna, may be made to First Grace Brethren Church, 2932 Maple Ave., Altoona, PA 16601.     Dear Bob,Dee and family. I was so saddened to hear of your mothers sudden passing ! I want to reach out to all of you to extend my most sincere condolences.
