Obituary For Anthony "Tony" M. Kost

Anthony M. “Tony” Kost April 3, 1954 – Dec. 12, 2020

Anthony M. “Tony” Kost, 66, Altoona, passed away on Saturday at UPMC Altoona, due to complications of Covid-19. He was the son of Walter and Gail (Baker) Kost of Cresson, he was preceded in death by his father. Anthony is survived by his mother, Gail of Cresson; his wife of 45 years, Janice; his two sons, Brian of Altoona and Adam (Catherine) Kost of Altoona; five siblings: Pam Gowans and Denise Kost of Pittsburgh, Lisa Mathiesen of Minnesota, Jeff Kost of Altoona and Tracy Kost of Cresson; a niece and several nephews. He worked at US Foods for 44 years where he was known as “Mike,” he retired in April of 2019. Anthony was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. There will be no viewing. A memorial mass will be held later to celebrate his life. Arrangements are by The Stevens Mortuary, Inc.     Janice, Brian and Adam you have my deepest sympathy. I will miss running into him on Saturdays at Martins with either Brian or Adam. He was a hard worker and a great husband and father. I am here for you all if you need anything. I will never forget going to Jack and George's to watch the football games with you all, those are the best memories. He will be missed.
