Obituary For Arlene J. Zanfino

Arlene J. Zanfino

October 16, 1941-November 6, 2025

Arlene J. Zanfino, 84, of Bellwood, passed away Thursday afternoon at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Joseph and Wilma (Craft) Turchetta.

Arlene married Paul Zanfino, he preceded her in death on May 20, 2005.

She is survived by two daughters: Christina Payne (Sean) of Spring Lake, NC and Nikki Carey (Darren) of Altoona; two grandchildren: Stephen Payne and Brianna Koehle; five great-grandchildren: Aiden, Easton, Jensen, Aspen and Jagger; also surviving, is her sister, Gina Berry of Cleveland, OH.

Arlene was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Zanfino and grandson, Sean P. Payne, Jr.

She was a graduate of Altoona High School and retired after a lengthy career in retail.

Arlene was a member at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at Bell Mansion, but she especially looked forward to time with her grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 4-5 pm, Monday, November 10, 2025 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602; where a funeral service will immediately follow at 5 pm in the Stevens Memorial Chapel.

Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.

    Bob & I wish to extend our deepest condolences to Nikki and Darren and family. I didn't know Arlene very well but my brother, Sam, would talk to her at Bell Mansion. Again, our sincere sympathy, Bob & Jean Kelly
