Barbara C. Barker, 84, Altoona, formerly of New York, passed away at her residence Wednesday. She was born in Flushing, NY, the daughter of the late Rudolph and Stella (Bohenek) Svec. Barbara is survived by her daughters: Lisa Backmeier of Girard, PA and Tina Barnum of Selden, NY; two sisters, Vera Cipriano of Deer Park, NY and Florence Cassini of Bellerose, NY; three grandchildren: Nicholas, Michael and Alyssa Barnum. She was preceded in death by a son, William and a grandson, Andrew Backmeier. There will be no visitation or services at this time. Arrangements by The Stevens Mortuary, Inc.
