Barbara G. Kensinger Aug. 16, 1938 – Nov. 5, 2022

Barbara Graham Kensinger, 84, of Altoona, passed away Saturday afternoon, surrounded by her children and son-in-law. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Harold J. and Kathryn Virginia (Roane) Graham Sr. She is survived by: her former husband, George L. Kensinger, Esquire of Clearfield; a son, Paul G. Kensinger of Duncansville; a daughter, Marilyn L. Conrad (Michael) of Altoona; and a granddaughter, Alexandria J Gallaher. Barbara was the last of her family. She was preceded in death by: sisters, Betty Jean Clarke and Mary Graham; and a brother, Harold J. Jr. Barbara was a 1956 graduate of Altoona High School and a 1959 graduate of the Altoona Hospital School of Nursing, becoming a registered nurse. She worked in many hospitals, such as Arlington Hospital and Lyons Federal VA Hospital, transferring in 1983 to James E. Van Zandt VA Hospital where she retired in 2005, following a major stroke. Barbara was an avid animal lover and also loved to go to the beach. Prior to starting her family, she and her husband travelled extensively in Europe. There will be no visitation. Services will be private. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery with her parents and siblings. Donations may be made to her family.
