Barbara L. Poorman (Gray) Koch, 90, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday morning at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. She was born in Loraine, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert and Esther (Nolan) Poorman.
Barbara was a homemaker most of her life, she later worked at Fashion Bug.
Barbara was twice married, to her first husband, Howard E. Gray on April 3, 1954, he preceded her in death on June 28, 1986. She was blessed to marry her second husband, Charles C. Koch, II on August 25, 1990, he preceded her in death on April 17, 2008.
She is survived by four daughters: Kim Beard (Dick) of Dillsburg, Karen Giornesto (Ken) of PA Furnace, Kris Smith (Joe) of Altoona and Kerry Hostetler (Jerry) of New Philadelphia, OH; her son, Kyle Gray of Lakeworth, FL; a stepson, Chuck Koch (Cindy) of Altoona; eight grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Ken Poorman (Mary) of Junction City, OH and a sister-in-law, Donna Poorman.
Barbara was preceded in death by a son, Kirk Gray and stepson, Rick Koch; four siblings: Phyllis Koch, Lois Foor (Don), Gloria Siegrist (Tom), Robert Poorman; sister-in-law, Bonnie Wilt and great-granddaughter, Scarlett Minnis.
She was a 1954 graduate of Altoona High School.
Barbara was a member at Christ Community United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received from 10-11 am, Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 5715 Roselawn Ave., Altoona, PA 16602, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 11 am with Rev. Dr. Lenore Hosier.
Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
Arrangements are provided by The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602.
