Obituary For Bernard J. Riley

Bernard J. Riley July 8, 1946-September 7, 2022

Bernard J. Riley, 76, Roaring Spring, passed away Wednesday at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh following a brief illness. He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Bernard P. and Connie (Binder) Riley. Bernard married Kathryn M. Steinbrunner. Bernie is survived by his wife; two daughters: Nicole (Mark) Earhart of Hollidaysburg and Brandy Gregg of Roaring Spring; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Deanna Duet of Atlanta, Georgia. Bernie was the favorite uncle of his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Riley; son-in-law, Matt Gregg and a brother, Steve Riley. Bernie was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting and especially spending time with his family and friends. Friends will be received from 9-11 am, Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 Clark St., Hollidaysburg, Pa. 16648. A funeral Mass will immediately follow at 11:00 am with Fr. Alan Thomas, celebrant. Committal will be held at New St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Bernie’s memory to: American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231/online: www2.heart.org OR St. Joseph’s Indian School, P.O.     Bernie was simply a fabulous guy. He was so sweet and kind. I am so sorry for his loss. I have not seen him since we were much younger but I am sure he was the same great guy he always was. He will be missed. Sincere Sympathy Diana (Rutola) Wagner
