Obituary For Bonnie L. Davis

Bonnie L. Davis March 24, 1942-July 24, 2022

Bonnie L. Davis, 80, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Altoona, passed away Sunday at Garvey Manor Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Bernard and Dorothy (Smith) Ziegler. Bonnie married William G. Davis and he preceded her in death on April 18, 2007. Bonnie is survived by two sons: Timothy B. Graupensperger (Sue) of Altoona and Brian T. Graupensperger (Dana) of Port Matilda; a daughter, Wendy Graupensperger (Steve) of Duncansville; four grandchildren: Megan, Drew, Lexi and Ben Graupensperger. She was a 1960 graduate of Altoona High School and a graduate of Altoona Hospital School of Nursing. Bonnie retired after nearly a 40-year career as a Registered Nurse, with service at Hillview and Garvey Manor Nursing Homes. She was a former member of Fairview United Methodist Church. Bonnie loved spending time with her family, especially seeing her grandchildren. Friends will be received from 4-7 pm on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 1, 2022, in the Stevens Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Douglas McGaffin officiating. Interment will be held at Blair Memorial Park. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Bonnie’s memory to: Garvey Manor Nursing Home, 1037 S. Logan Blvd., Hollidaysburg, Pa. 16648.
