Obituary For Bonnie L. Decker

Bonnie L. Decker

April 12, 1942-October 24, 2025

Bonnie L. Decker, 83, of Altoona, passed away Friday morning at Hilltop Healthcare and Rehab. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Conrad and Lorraine (Kisielski) Powell.

On October 8, 1983, Bonnie married Robert E. Decker, he preceded her in death, earlier this year, on May 27, 2025.

She is survived by her sons: Robert L. Stoudnour (Margaret) of York and Eric S. Stoudnour (Kelli) of Hollidaysburg; her stepson, Brian Decker of Tenn. And her stepdaughter, Helene Satka (Jason Gardner) of Duncansville; her grandchildren: Taylor Lee Stoudnour and Hunter Scott Stoudnour; a step-grandson, Ben Satka; and a sister, Marjorie Martinovic of Kingman, AZ.

Bonnie was preceded in death by a brother, Conrad Powell.

She was a 1960 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School and continued her education at Penn State University, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree.

Bonnie retired from K-Mart after 24 years of service as the front-end supervisor and she later worked for 8 years as a teacher aid for the Altoona Area School District.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Bonnie was a 25-year member of the Red Hat Society and was a Eucharistic Minister and a CCD teacher at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She liked crafting, gardening and reading, but especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Friends will be received from 2-4 pm, Sunday, October 26, 2025 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am, Monday, October 27, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 511 20th Street, Altoona, PA 16602, with Fr. Lubomir Strecok, celebrant.

Committal will be held at Alto-Reste Park.

    I worked with Bonnie at Kmart She was always a friend and listened to me. May God wrap His loving arms around her family to give them comfort in their lost Many prayers and deepest sympathy
