Obituary For Brian P. "Bubba" Stroh
Brian P. “Bubba” Stroh, 51, of Altoona, passed away Friday at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh with his family by his side.
Brian was born in Altoona, son of Wilma (Padula) Stroh and the late John H. Stroh, Sr.
He is survived by his mother Wilma; his daughter, Brianna M. Stroh of Altoona; his sister, Angel M. Stroh of Altoona; his brother, John H. Stroh, Jr. (Bridget) of Altoona; nieces and nephews: Dalen Stroh (Leslie), Corbin Stroh (Andrea), Dominic Stroh (Lauren), Jonathon Stroh, and Bennett Stroh; and 1 great niece and 2 great nephews.
Brian was a 1993 graduate of Altoona Area High School.
He was the owner and operator of several small restaurants in the area.
Brian enjoyed camping, being with his St. Bernards, but most especially he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was a friend to everyone he met.
Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2026 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602 and from 10-11 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2026 immediately followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in Stevens Memorial Chapel.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.

I didn't know Bubba for long, or very well, but he was an amazing person. He held such a passion for food, not just making it, but feeding people knowing they would walk away full of amazing food. He held such a presence in the local community, one that will be sorely missed. May he be at peace. May his family find comfort, solace and support in their time of incredible grief. Thank you, Bubba, for serving some of the best damn food State College didn't even know to ask for. In his memory we will honor him, in his words, by "pile it on, they're gonna love it" every time we load our plates. Be at peace, Bubba, and thank you for letting me know you.

Our heartfelt condolences to Brianna and to all of Brian's family, friends and loved ones. We will ALWAYS remember Brian's jolly and happy greetings and never forget his big heart and smile. May God Bless all who mourn his loss. We will surely miss him and cherish the memories. Praying a flight of angels will carry him home. Peace and love be with you forever Ole Friend.
