Camille C. Metzgar

September 4, 1948-November 12, 2024

Camille C. Metzgar, 76, Altoona, passed away Tuesday after a two-year battle with cancer. She was born in Mt. Carmel, the daughter of the late Stanley and Dorthy (Shopulski) Kulikowski.

Camille met her husband Joseph “Joe” Metzgar at York College and they wed on June 23, 1973.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years; her two sons and their families: Brian and Kasie Metzgar and their children, Daisy, Aurora, Kal and Kara; Jason and Jennifer Metzgar and their children: Emma, Brayden, Katelyn, Patylen and Benson. Camille is also survived by her standard poodle, Majik and labradoodle, Mabel.

She attended Bloomsburg University, was a graduate of York College, where she met and fell in love with Joe. Camille then continued her education at Shippensburg University, where she received her master’s degree. She retired as the case work supervisor at Blair County Children and Youth.

Camille was a member of St. Therese of the Child Jesus and the Altoona Women’s Club.

Friends will be received from 10-11 am, Saturday, November 16, 2024 at St. Therese of the Child Jesus, 411 Wopsononock Ave., Altoona, PA 16601, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am with Fr. Brian Norris. Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
