Carolyn June Vorndran

Oct. 28, 1937-July 5, 2023

Carolyn June Vorndran, 85, St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Altoona, passed away Wednesday at the home of her son in Altoona.

She was born in Ravenna, Ohio, the daughter of the late Kenneth Charles and Rosetta (Ferris) Harr.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Rudolph J. Vorndran, Jr. of Altoona and daughter, Heidi Marie Cusick (Wayne) of St. Petersburg, FL; a grandson, Kevin Francis Duncan, Jr.; a brother, Edwin Eugene Harr (Nancy) of Chambersburg and her nieces, Melissa Walker and Valerie Harr.

After her high school graduation, Carolyn went on to nursing school and after years of service, she retired as an RN from Bon Secours Homecare Services in St. Petersburg, FL and James E. Van Zandt Veterans Medical Center in Altoona.

Carolyn was a member of the Bavarian Aid Society and loved her cats.

A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Friday, July 14, 2023 at the Stevens Memorial Chapel, 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602, by Fr. Lubomir Strecok. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The family asks that contributions be made in Carolyn’s memory to: Family Services Incorporated, 2022 Broad Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16601.
