Catherine Y. JuryDec. 12, 1941-Dec. 8, 2021Catherine Y. Jury, 79, Altoona, passed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness.She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Hale and Mary (McGregor) Walters. Catherine was thrice married, they have all preceded her in death: Thomas McMaster, Benjamin Newman and Lynn Jury.Catherine is survived by her five daughters: Kathy Heiss(Robert Stiffler) of Altoona, Mary (Larry) Lees of Altoona, Tammy (Jake) Insinga of NJ, Danielle (Matt) Fischer of Hollidaysburg, Ava Newman of Altoona; a son, Mickey McMaster of Altoona; twenty-two grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; two sisters: Ann Marie (Joe) DeHaas of Troy, PA and Joanne Eckenrode of Altoona; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by three grandchildren: Warren McMaster, Pamela Lees and Tyler Newman; a brother, Hale Walters and a sister, Dorothy Houck.Catherine retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant from the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home and was previously with the Blair Christian Home. She adored spending time with and taking care of her family, particularly her grandchildren.
