Charlene K. (Pavlic) Johnson Oct. 24, 1959 – March 3, 2023

Charlene K. (Pavlic) Johnson, 63, Altoona, passed away Friday evening at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Tyrone, daughter of the late Frances Pavlic and stepdaughter of Robert Updike. On Sept. 8, 1978, she married Joseph M. Johnson at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, Altoona. She is survived by her husband; a son, Jason M. Johnson (Baylee) of Altoona; three grandchildren; a sister, Joan Finnegan of Altoona, and an estranged daughter. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Paul. Charlene was a 1978 graduate of Altoona Area High School. She was a personal care provider for 25 years at United Cerebral Palsy and Among Caring Hearts. Charlene attended Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She was a proud Armed Forces Mother and was very active in the organization. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc. 1421 Eighth Ave. Altoona. A funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Msgr. Stanley Carson officiating. Committal will be at Blair Memorial Park.
