Charles W. “Chuck” McLaughlin
Feb. 6, 1947-July 15, 2021

Charles W. “Chuck” McLaughlin, 74, Altoona, passed away Thursday, after a brief illness at Surrey Place of Bradenton, FL.
He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Charles Beegle and Marion (Atherholt) McLaughlin. He married Melody A. Wohlbruck on August 17, 1968.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife; a son, Andrew C. (Tami) McLaughlin of State College; five grandchildren: Katie Belis-Lowry (Scott), Andrew “Tate”, Jack, Casher and Miley; three great-grandchildren: Max, Trace and Quinn; his Mother-in-law, Jean Wohlbruck and several cousins.
He was a 1965 graduate of Altoona High School. Chuck received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Penn State University in 1970; where he participated in ROTC. He was later commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant of the US Army and retired from the US Army Reserves as Lieutenant Colonel. Chuck began his career at Arthur Anderson in Pittsburgh and retired from Wolf Furniture Company as the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President. Chuck was fascinated with all aspects of business.
He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Chuck loved everything and anything Penn State. He liked traveling to Florida, but truly loved spending time with his family.
Friends will be received from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 26, 2021 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 5514 Roselawn Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602 with Msgr. Michael Becker. Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
