Obituary For Christopher G. Phillippe

Christopher G. Phillippe Sept. 20, 1960 – Dec. 22, 2020

Christopher G. Phillippe, 60, Tyrone, passed away at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Lynchburg, VA, the son of the late, Earett G. and Geraldine (Baldwin) Phillippe. He married Kathleen H. Cranwell on Oct. 16, 1993. Chris is survived by his wife and son, Christopher G. Phillippe, Jr., his siblings: Michael (Lynn) Phillippe of NC, Mark Phillippe and Mellissa (Bill) Stinette, both of Kennett Square; and several nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Unionville High School and attended two years of college. Chris retired from CATA Bus as a driver. Chris attended St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Tyrone. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and liked to repair things. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Central Pa Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, Pa. 16602 or online: www.centralpahumane.org.     Chris was one of the happiest funny guys i knew, my God life has thrown the man all a person could handle and he dealt with it better than anyone i knew. i am glad to have known him and called him my friend. Comfort and prayers to Kathleen and lil Chris.
