My thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family and his extended family. Chris and I had played baseball against each other since we were in little league, then high school and Federation League. I knew him as not only a really good baseball player but who always had a smile on his face and I'm so glad that he and I by coincidence had a chance to reconnect and share some good memories and him to tell me that he didn't fear many baseball players but I was one of the few that shook him when in reality I believe I feared him as much as he feared me. Tyrone Legion and Park Furniture had a pretty good rivalry going on but no matter what he and I always respected each other's talents and knew he was going to give it all he had. So in closing Chris may you Rest In Peace and I'm sure you're up the playing baseball on that great big "FIELD OF DREAMS". Take care my friend and continue watching down over your family and protect them. - Your friend and fellow baseball player Leland Nolan

Chris was my friend in high school and my debate partner in college. We would frequently talk/argue politics and he was always trying to get me to like country music. He had a genuinely kind soul. May his family find strength and comfort in knowing that his memory and his smile lives on vividly in so many of us who knew him and called him a friend.

My prayers go out to the Weyandt family. Chris was truly one of a kind. I will fondly remember him playing baseball and walking to classes together. He taught me about politics and we had numerous conversations about religion after his mom passed. He felt a great loss with that and I hope that it comforts you all now as I believe he is finally with her again. Sending thoughts of love and light to help carry you all through this very difficult time. You friend, will be missed by many! Much love to you all! -Tonya Burgess
