Obituary For Christy M. Carlin
Christy M. Carlin Jan. 22, 1980-Oct. 29, 2022
Christy M. Carlin, 42, Stanford, CT, formerly of Altoona, unexpectedly passed away Saturday. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of Philip and Christine (Rieger) Carlin. Christy is survived by her parents of Altoona and two sons, Chase and Hunter DeSerio of New Jersey. She was a 1998 graduate of Altoona Area High School and attended Dickinson College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Hofstra University. Christy was a Global Sales Manager for PZ Cussons. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 5514 Roselawn Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602, Fr. Brian Norris celebrant. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are provided by The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602.
The family requests that contributions be made in Christy’s memory to: Families United for Change, c/o Central PA Community Foundation, 1330 11th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16601.

I did not personally know Christy but had the pleasure of attending many insurance trips with her parents. I know how Tina glowed when talking about her daughter and her grandchildren. I am saddened for her entire family and her friends. Taken way too soon.
