April 5, 1939-April 17, 2026

Constance A. Steinbugl, 87, of Duncansville, peacefully passed away Friday afternoon at Hilltop Healthcare & Rehabilitation, following a brief battle with an aggressive brain cancer.

She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Clarence E. “Ted” and Anna Mae (Wyland) Lyons. Constance married Robert F. Steinbugl on December 30, 2000 in Hollidaysburg.

Surviving Constance is her loving husband of Duncansville and daughter, Deborah Penn of Andreas; also, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Lyons.

Constance was a 1957 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School and a graduate of St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia.

She retired from New Pig Corporation in Tipton in 2003, as the Director of the Legal and Insurance Department, a position she held since the inception of the company.

Constance was a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Altoona.

She had been in the Order of the Eastern Star, President of Maple Hollow Townhouse Association, a volunteer at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home and a life-member at the Bavarian Aid Society.

Constance enjoyed reading, crafting, traveling and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Monday, April 27, 2026 in the Stevens Memorial Chapel, 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602, with Fr. Leo F. Arnone. Interment will be held at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Cresson.
