Corinne M. Quarry March 30, 1924- August 21, 2020

Corinne M. Quarry, 96, St. Anne’s Home, Greensburg, formerly of Irwin and Altoona, died Friday at the home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Ellsworth and Catherine (Pike) Eckenrode. She married Thomas C. Quarry December 4, 1942 in Cumberland, MD. He preceded her in death on May 16, 2009.

She is survived by a son Gary Quarry (Candy) of Milton; a daughter Cheryl Anna (David) of Irwin; 3 grandchildren: Hillary Reeder (Jon), Kaitlyn Anna (Brendan Rosato) and Olivia Henderson (Corey) and 2 great grandchildren and a brother James Eckenrode (Agnes). She was preceded in death by a son Thomas A. Quarry and a sister Petronella Elvey.

Corinne was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Altoona and St. Barbara Parish, Harrison City. She was a 1942 graduate of Altoona Catholic High school and enjoyed reading, sewing and playing pinochle.

There will be no public visitation due to the pandemic. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am Tuesday August 25, 2020 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, officiated by Father Ronald Osinski. Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona. A celebration of her life will be planned for next summer. Arrangements are by The Stevens Mortuary Inc. 1421 8th Ave. Altoona, Pa 16602.
