Daniel R. Costlow Feb. 24, 1938-April 14, 2022

Daniel R. Costlow, 84, passed away Thursday at his residence after an extended illness. He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Harvey and Gertrude (Fulton) Costlow. Daniel married Anna M. DelBiondo on May 4, 1968 in Duncansville, she preceded him in death on April 16, 2021. Dan is survived by his four children: daughter, Teri K. Costlow and son, Danny P. Costlow both of Smithville, TX, Debra A. (David) McManus of Altoona and Stephen M. “Mike” (Cindy) Wagner of Ashville; seven grandchildren: Andy, Mike, Tracy, David, Sherry, Jessica and Ashley; five great-grandchildren; also surviving is his sister, Nancy Wallace of VA. He was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters. Dan was a graduate of Altoona High School and was a Veteran of the US Air Force, serving from 1957-1961. He retired from Norfolk Southern from the maintenance department with 30 years of service as a pipefitter and welder. Dan enjoyed golfing, but especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
