Obituary For David G. Lee

David G. Lee August 29, 1963-June 5, 2022

David G. Lee, 58, Altoona, passed away peacefully, Sunday at his residence following a brief illness. He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Donald and Joan (Loucks) Lee. David married Mary Lou Holzer on Sept. 10, 2005. David is survived by his loving wife; a sister, Rami Norris of Stewartstown; nieces, nephews: Stephen Norris, Ashley Norris-Cutler, Brian “Bub” Sawyers and Elizabeth Sawyers; special niece and nephew: Abigail Mason and Braydon Holzer. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kelli Sawyers. David was a graduate of Altoona High School and retired after 40 years of service as a mechanic and lastly working with Courtesy Ford. He was a member at the Bavarian Aid Society and the Unter Uns. He enjoyed collecting model trains, fishing, wood working, working on small engines and loved helping others. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 in the Stevens Memorial Chapel, 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602 with Fr. Ronald Osinski celebrant. The family asks that in lieu of flowers contributions be made in David’s memory to, UPMC Family Hospice, 20 Sheraton Dr., Altoona, Pa. 16601 or St. Mary’s Catholic Church Memorial Fund, 1405 5th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602.     Mary Lou, my cousin I am so sorry for your loss. It has been so many years since I've been back home to Altoona. I never had the pleasure of meeting Dave.     I am so sorry for your loss, may God bless and keep you during this difficult time. My children met Dave many years ago and he left a lasting memory because they still talk about him from time to time. God bless, take care. Love you cousin
