Deloris J. Kissell May 7, 1936-Nov. 27, 2022

Deloris J. Kissell, 86, Hollidaysburg, peacefully passed away Sunday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Glen and Ruth (Baird) Boston. Deloris was twice married, first to Bernard F. Hollern. Later, she married Walter A. Kissell on August 25, 1979, who preceded her in death on June 26, 1988. Deloris is survived by her five sons: William Hollern (Barbara) of Altoona, Shawn Hollern of East Freedom, David Hollern (Andrea), Brian Hollern (Darlene) and Michael Hollern (Mary) all of Altoona; two stepsons: Walter and James Kissell; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Jessie Boston of Altoona and her sister, Shirley Weyandt of Hollidaysburg. She was preceded in death by four brothers: Robert, Glen, Jerome and Samuel Boston; and five sisters: Virginia Mertiff, Betty Thompson, Velda Van Ormer, June Dolby and Barbara Figliola. Deloris retired as a Home Health Aide. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hollidaysburg. Deloris enjoyed attending church services, playing cards, working on jigsaw puzzles, and looked forward to watching “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.” She particularly liked camping along the Juniata River. Friends will be received from 11:00 am-noon, on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church, 601 Walnut St., Hollidaysburg, Pa. 16648. Followed by a noon funeral service with Rev. Janie McElwee-Smith. Committal will be held at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
