Dennis W. “Denny” Weyant
Sept. 20, 1955-Oct. 18, 2021

Dennis W. “Denny” Weyant, 66, of Altoona, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness.
He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Arthur and Leona (Miller) Weyant. Dennis married Anne L. Thompson on June 14, 1974 in Altoona.
Denny is survived by his loving wife of 47 years; a son, Christopher M. Weyant (Jonathan Allen) of Philadelphia; a daughter, Denise Coslo (Jeff) of Bellefonte; three grandchildren: Evan, Emmett and Euen Coslo; brothers, Lonnie Weyant (Joanne) of VA and Kevin Weyant (Rebecca) of WV; an uncle, James Weyant (Shelby); all of his brother and sister-in-law’s and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers: Jeffrey and Jerry Weyant.
Denny was a 1973 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He retired from Norfolk Southern as a Train Engineer in 2016 after 30 years of service.
He liked model trains, hunting, fishing, camping and hosting family parties. Denny loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren were the apple of his eye.
Friends will be received from 2:00-4:45 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 5:00 p.m. in the Stevens Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Douglas McGaffin. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
