I knew Denny from my work at Altoona Hospital. Denny was one of a kind. He was considered a gifted surgeon. I would run into him in the nursing lounge, he was a humble man who could have sat in the Doctors lounge but he always enjoyed interacting with the staff and, rather than talk about medicine or politics he woud engage me with his passion of automobiles. Denny was the most knowledgable and smartest person about that subject. To me his most endearing and charming character quality was his humility. He was humble, kind, and very smart. I enjoyed my conversations with Denny Youshaw, and I am saddened to learn of his passing. My condolences to the family, he is a man who left a very positive impression upon me in my life.
