Dolores A. “Dolly” (Wacker) Holzer

Dolores A. “Dolly” (Wacker) Holzer, 92, of Altoona, passed away Sunday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Albert K. and Rose C. (Lunglhofer) Wacker.

Dolly was the widow of Alfons A. Holzer, who preceded her in death on October 13, 1997.

She is survived by a son, Thomas; grandchildren: Tyler K. and Trinity J. Also survived by sisters: Helen Warner-Pifer, Mildred Karl (Richard) and Charlotte Vasko (Albert); and many nieces and nephews.

Dolly retired from the Social Security Administration.

Dolly was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she was a Lector and Eucharistic Minister and also the Ministry Scheduler for the Altar Servers and the Eucharistic Ministers.

There will be no viewing.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1405 5th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602 with Fr. Mariusz Gorazd, celebrant.

Committal will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
