Dolores J. Light Nov. 24, 1931-Dec. 16, 2022

Dolores J. Light, 91, Altoona, peacefully passed Friday morning at her residence. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late James H. and Dorothy (Specht) McGarvey. Dolores was twice married, first to Michael Leberfinger then to Leonard Light, they both preceded her in death. Dolores is survived by her daughter, Tina Betting of Altoona, with whom she resided; four grandchildren: Andrew (Tiffany) Betting, Sarah Betting, John Betting and Jenna (Anthony) Rosian all of Altoona; four great-grandchildren: Joseph and Freya Rosian and Rosalie and Marceline Betting; five siblings: James and John McGarvey, Eunice (Richard) Johnson, Leona (Ron) Mack and Dorothy Weyer all of Altoona; a special friend, Polly and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters: Mary Dively, Nancy Welch, Peggy Miller; a special friend, Mary Holland and her dog, Bella. Dolores had worked at Blair Footwear for many years. She was a volunteer at Valley View Nursing Home and enjoyed fishing, traveling, crocheting and was an avid reader. Dolores especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. A memorial service for Dolores will be scheduled at a later date by the family. Arrangements are provided by The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602.
