Doneene A. Walls Dec. 21, 1970 – Sept. 23, 2020

Doneene A. Walls, 49, Altoona, passed away Wednesday at her residence. She was born in Chester County, daughter of Benjamin F. Walls and Sylvia L. Bartley. She is survived by her father of Beltsville, MD; mother of Altoona; a son, Charles Hawkins and wife, Ashley of Hollidaysburg; a daughter, Dacia Smith of Altoona; three brothers: Benjamin S. Walls, Gregory Bartley, and Donald Miller, all of Altoona; three sisters: Antoinette Miller, Sonia Shuler, and Stephanie Clark, all of Altoona; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Doneene had been a longtime bartender and cook at Cobrh’s. She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and playing pool. Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 from 5-8 p.m. at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave. Altoona, and from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. To accommodate social distancing and Covid restrictions, a private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family by Rev. Keith Moore.
