Donna J. Smith

November 12, 1943-May 11, 2026

Donna J. Smith, 82, of Altoona, passed away Monday evening at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Chester and LaVina Mary (Patterson) Lego.

Donna married Donald L. Smith on October 22, 1966, he preceded her in death on September 16, 2022.

She is survived by her two sons: Donald L. Smith, Jr. and Brad A. Smith both of Altoona and her daughter, Jody J. Marks also of Altoona; seven grandchildren: Trey, Danni, Jarret, Tyler, Logan, Mason and Ty and a great-grandchild: Desmond.

Donna was preceded in death by an infant son, David A. Smith and two brothers: John and Roy Lego.

She retired from General Gable and previously had worked for Saf-T-Bak for many years.

Donna was a member of Juniata United Methodist.

She enjoyed camping, beach vacations and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 16, 2026 in the Stevens Memorial Chapel with Rev. Douglas McGaffin.

Interment will be held at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
