Obituary For Duane R. Williams

Duane R. Williams

September 16, 1959-January 9, 2024

Duane R. Williams, 64, Latrobe, formerly of Altoona, peacefully passed away Tuesday at The Grove at Latrobe after a brief, but courageous battle with lung cancer.

He was born in Altoona, the son of the late George and Louise (Brubaker) Williams.

Duane is survived by two sons: Brandon and Lucas Williams; two brothers: Bill and Bryan Williams; and his sister, Patty (Williams) Miles; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his sister Pam Williams on Aug. 5, 2001.

Duane was a graduate of Altoona Area High School and the Vo-Tech, where he found a love for Masonry.

He went on to retire from North American Communications as a mechanic.

Duane enjoyed deer hunting, Dallas Cowboy football and Pittsburgh Pirate baseball; but he especially enjoyed visits with his family. If you ever needed assistance, Duane was always willing to lend a helping hand.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are provided by The Stevens Mortuary, Inc.
