E. Mae Croft

January 25, 1929-October 18, 2024

E. Mae Croft, 95, Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday morning at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. She was born in Patton, the daughter of the late Loraine and Susan (Bako) Croft.

Mae is survived by her friend and caregiver, Colleen Wertz and her daughters, Erinn and Emilee.

She was the last of her immediate family. Mae was preceded in death by her two brothers: Michael and John Croft; also, her sister Mildred Croft.

Mae was a high school graduate and went on to retire as Payroll Manager from Stevens Supply Co. after many years of faithful service.

She enjoyed bowling and was a member of several local leagues. Mae was part of a Bunko Club and Birthday Club. She loved attending the Altoona Curve Baseball games. Mae had been an avid gardener of flowers.

Friends will be received from 9-10 a.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2716 Broad Avenue, Altoona, PA. 16601, with a funeral Mass immediately following at 10 a.m., with celebrant, Fr. James Dugan.

Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery.

At Mae’s request, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to help send Erinn Wetz on her band trip to Disney World c/o Colleen Wertz, 2822 Maple Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601.
