Ernest J. Krenn May 31, 1943-April 8, 2023

Ernest J. Krenn, 79, Altoona, passed away Saturday at his residence. He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Ernest W. and Regina (Antesberger) Krenn. Ernest is survived by his son E. Russell Krenn and wife Cathy of Eustis, Florida; three grandchildren: Sage, Zack and Reese; and his close friend, Rose Smith of Altoona. He was preceded in death by a son, Eric Krenn. Ernest was a 1961 graduate of Altoona High School and a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from Conrail as a welder. Ernest was a lifetime member of the Unter Uns, Swiss Club and the Bavarian Aid Society. He was a gunsmith and was an avid outdoorsman. Friends will be received from 2-3 pm on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc, 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602. The family would like to invite friends and family to stay and join them at 3:00 pm in the Stevens Memorial Chapel to share fond memories of Ernest.
