Obituary For Eunice P. Beck

Eunice P. Beck

October 22, 1946-April 26, 2026

Eunice P. Beck, 79, of Altoona, passed away Sunday morning at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Reuben and Thelma (Wilson) Beck.

She is survived by her son, Eric L. Hockenberry (Gloria) and her daughter, Heather L. Franell (Art) all of Altoona; four grandchildren: Eric, Nick, Isaac and Sarah; two brothers: Norman “Dan” Beck and Warren “Scott” Beck; her sister: June Pringle (Tom) and several nieces and nephews.

Eunice was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert Beck and Kenneth “Van” Beck; and a grandson, Nathaniel Hockenberry.

She was a graduate of Altoona High School and retired from the maintenance department with WTAJ.

Eunice was a member of the Logan Valley Broncs Riding Club, where she enjoyed riding horses and volunteering. She also enjoyed taking care of her many animals.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery.

    She used to come up to our grandmas Beck's house with her horse and take us for little rides when we were little kids . She was always so nice to us. I loves seeing her horse all the time

    We are so sorry to see the passing of Eunice. She was a kind, hard working neighbor and my boys have fond memories of their childhood hanging out with Eunice. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
