Florence Ellen Perrin August 11, 1934-August 7, 2022

Florence E. Perrin, 87, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Altoona, passed away Sunday at Garvey Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late John and Clara (Pielmeier) Frederick. Florence married Paul E. Perrin on June 22, 1957 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Altoona. Paul preceded her death on March 27, 2022. Florence is survived by her four children: Judy Gallagher (Paul) of Odenton, Md, Donna Neil (Vernon) of Duncansville, Janet Salyards and Robert Perrin (Lori) all of Hollidaysburg; seven grandchildren: Kelly Wilcox, Nichole Schaffer, Brittany Gallagher, Jade Salyards, Ryan Neil, Tyler Gallagher and Sierra Salyards; six great-grandchildren; her brother, Herman Frederick and her beloved dog, BoBo. She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Frederick and sisters: Marie Tremmel and Arlene Spahn. Florence was a 1952 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired from Sears after 25 years of service in the catalogue department and sales. Prior to Sears, she worked at the Butterick Company as a pattern folder. Florence was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Casey Jones Locomovers Camping Club, the Bavarian Aide Society and Christian Mothers. She enjoyed camping, traveling, scrapbooking, being a Brownie Troop Leader; but especially loved spending time with her family. Friends will be received from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1405 5th Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602 with Fr. Lubomir Strecok, celebrant. Committal will be held at Calvary Mausoleum. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Florence’s memory to: Central PA Humane Society, 1837 E.
