Fred J. Beck

May 10, 1931-January 27, 2025

Fred J. Beck, 93, Altoona, passed away Monday at Maybrook Hills Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Joseph and Stella (Caswell) Beck.

Fred married Joann Muccitelli on November 6, 1976, she preceded him in death on February 16, 2018.

He is survived by his cousin, Anna Marie Bush; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Fred was preceded in death by his stepson, Dennis Williams.

He was a graduate of Altoona High School and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Fred retired as a foreman from SKF after 30 years of service.

He was a member of St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church.

Fred was an avid bowler and enjoyed golfing.

At the request of the deceased there will not be a public visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, 411 Wopsononock Ave., Altoona, PA 16601, with Fr. Brian Norris, celebrant.

Committal will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Altoona.
