Grace I. Williams April 4, 1929- November 6, 2020

Grace I. Williams,91, Maybrook Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center, died Friday at the center. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Edwin and Catherine (Shover) Green.

Grace is survived by 2 daughters: Joy Hammel (Roy) of Etters, PA and Janice Stoltz (Herbert) of Altoona; a grandson, Roy Hammel II, a great granddaughter Caroline P. Hammel; 3 step grandchildren: Melissa Noel, Herbert Stoltz III and Christy Sieg and 5 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Harry, Edwin and William Green and a sister Mary Catherine Quarry.

She was of the Lutheran faith. Grace had retired from A&P Markets after 20 years of service in the meat dept. She was a 1947 graduate if AHS and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from noon to 1 pm on Wednesday November 11, 2020 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc. 1421 8th Ave. Altoona, PA 16602 where a funeral service will follow at 1 pm in the Stevens Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Douglas McGaffin. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.

Grace’s family would like to acknowledge the great care she received at Maybrook Hills through the services of Unit D-2 and additionally the UPMC Altoona Hospice.
