Helen C. Casner

Helen C. Casner, 84, Altoona, passed away at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center following a brief illness.

She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late William H. and Margaret Marie (McDermitt) Sweitzer. Helen married John L. Casner on August 20, 1960, he preceded her in death on January 24, 2018.

She is survived by her three children: John W. Casner and Carol A. Casner both of Altoona and Renna M. Kenyon (Parker) of Brunswick, Maine; also her sister, Donna Rand of San Francisco, CA.

Helen was a graduate of Altoona High School and spent her days caring for her family and their home. She enjoyed cross stitching and loved cats.

At Helen’s request, there will be no visitation or services.
