Obituary For Helen Theresa Nagle

Helen Theresa Nagle
September 8, 1951-July 30, 2025

Helen Theresa Nagle, 73, of Tyrone, formerly of Altoona, passed away Wednesday at her residence. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Grant C. and Anna M. (O’Dellick) Claar.
Helen married Raymond J. Nagle on September 14, 1996 at All Faiths Chapel, Altoona, he preceded her in death on February 23, 2016.
She is survived by a daughter, Theresa Elliot (John) of Johnstown; a grandson, Dalton Claar, whom resided with Helen; and a great-granddaughter. Also surviving are her three sisters: Dorothy Henry and Arlene Keller, both of Tipton and Sharon Richards of Coalport.
Helen was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
She was a 1970 graduate of Altoona High School and attended Penn State University.
Helen retired as a certified nurses aid and a senior companion aid from Blair Senior Services. She had previously worked at Hillview and Valley View Nursing Homes.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
Helen enjoyed volunteering for bingo at St. Matthews Catholic Church, Tyrone and loved taking care of her grandson, Dalton.
Friends will be received from 2-5 pm on Monday, August 4, 2025 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602.
An announcement will follow with the date and time for the funeral Mass to be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 806 11th Street, Altoona, PA 16602. Interment will be held at St. Michaels Cemetery, Loretto.

    My name is Ruth I was one of her nieces I was getting close too her I am and daughter christina is going too miss you so much I used to talk too you everyday on the phone and asked her if she needed anything we would go down help her out many of times we loved doing that because at least where making it too get closer and seeing her and I gave her a beautiful little fur baby that she called sassy she also loved her very much she is going too miss her also God has you no more suffing with your sugars being high fly high see you some day love you from Ruth Christina Jerry
