Ivan Gregory “Greg” Hallman, 62, Altoona, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness.

Greg was born in Homestead, FL, son of the late Ivan B. and Shirley (Stultz) Hallman. On July 22, 1978, Greg married Tammy Dionis who survives.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters: Heather Gides and husband Jim of Lilly and Britney Dodson and husband Brent of Altoona; six grandchildren: Grant, Callen, Bradun, Alauna, Grayson and Myah and a brother, Jeff Hallman and wife Pam of Ooltewah, TN.

Greg was a 1975 graduate of Altoona High School and was a pipefitter for Norfolk Southern.

He was previously a member of Wehnwood United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Unter Uns and Bavarian Aid Society.

Greg enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play ball.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
