James Bonner, Jr. Nov. 26, 1942-March 27, 2023

James Bonner, Jr., 80, Altoona, peacefully passed away on Monday. He was born in Gadsden, Alabama. The son of the late, James Bonner, Sr. and Fannie Belle (Dinsmore) Harris. James is survived by his three children: Ronald J. Hicks of Williamsburg, James R. Hicks and Anita L. Black both of Altoona; two brothers: Nathaniel McClain of Altoona and George McClain of Pittsburgh. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonita Kifer. James was a Veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War and served as a Heavy Weapons Infantryman. He retired from Conrail after 15 years of service. James enjoyed listening to music, dancing, but most of all loved spending time with his family and friends. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
