Obituary For James "Jimmy" R. Koller

James R. “Jimmy” Koller May 11, 1949-April 26, 2022

James R. “Jimmy” Koller, 72, Altoona, passed peacefully Tuesday evening at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Edward C. and Wilma M. (Gobrecht) Koller. Jimmy married the former Kathleen Resides. He is survived by his loving wife; his children with his former wife, Alice (Warburton) Koller: son, James R. Koller, II (Kristine) and daughter, Melissa Benson (Scott), and step-son, Andrew Keirn all of Altoona; three grandchildren: Isabel, Hayden and Amelia; four siblings: Edward Koller of Duncansville, Pamela Manocchio (Donald Woomer) of Bellwood, Deborah Dively (Joel) of Claysburg and Dawn Hutfles (Allen Dodson) of Newry; Aunt Edwina and numerous nieces and nephews. Jimmy was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Koller on Dec. 7, 2021. He was a 1969 graduate of Altoona High School. Jimmy retired from L.S. Fiore in 2014 as construction superintendent after 45 years of dedication. He enjoyed sports, music, cooking, reading and collecting any kind of gadgets. Jimmy will be missed by Jessie, his golden and we know he met Angie his other golden at the Rainbow Bridge. He particularly loved spending time with his family. Friends will be received from 2-3 pm, Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Second Avenue United Methodist Church, 130 2nd Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16602, where a funeral service will be celebrated at 3:00 pm with Pastor Brian Sandell.
