Obituary For James P. Devine

James P. Devine

June 12, 1960 – September 3, 2023

James P. Devine, 63, Altoona, passed away Sunday at his residence.

Jim was born in Altoona, son of Patricia (Turnbaugh) Mock and the late Patrick Devine.

Jim is survived by a daughter, Brittany K. Devine of Pittsburgh; a twin brother, Michael P. (Mercedes) Devine of Odenton, MD; a sister; Lori A. Sakala of Roaring Spring; a nephew, Michael Devine; nieces: Zandra Devine (Zane), Erica Smith (Austin) and Haley Sakala; and great-nephew, Marcelo .

Jim was a 1978 graduate of Altoona Area High School and Pittsburgh Technical College.

He was employed as a supervisor at Labor Specialties Inc. and previously worked for North American Communications for 30 years.

Jim enjoyed movies, music, and cars and was an avid Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins fan.

Friends will be received from 3 p.m. until a 6 p.m. funeral service Friday, September 8, 2023 at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 Eighth Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602 by Father James Dugan. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
