James W. Crum, 76, Altoona, passed away Saturday at Hillview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late James A. and Margaret C. (Beck) Crum.

Surviving are two brothers: Wayne Crum (Tineke) of Goodyear, Ariz., and Rick Crum (Betty) of Tipton; three sisters: Donna Sellers (Dave) of Camp Hill, Carol Strobert (Greg) of Leesburg, Fla. and Debbie Laret (Walt) of Hollidaysburg; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Crum.

James was a 1962 graduate of Altoona High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Susquehanna University. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam era.

James retired after a career in retail management. He enjoyed collecting things and travelling in the U.S. and abroad.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona.

Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery
