Janet F. Frank

April 16, 1940-April 25, 2024

Janet F. Frank, 84, passed away Thursday evening at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown following a brief illness. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Sarah (Yingling) Everhart and was raised in the family home of her stepfather, Edwin Rudasill.

Janet was twice married, first to Robert G. Plummer, who preceded her in death on April 12, 1978. She then married, William E. Frank on Sept. 2, 1988 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, he preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2013.

Janet is survived by her three children: Mark Plummer (Karen) of Shelburne, VT, Todd Plummer of Pine Grove Mills, Leslie Guidry (Scott) of Pittsford, NY; two stepsons: Robert Frank (Tara) of Hummelstown and Brent Frank of Harrisburg; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her stepson, J. William Frank and her brother, Allen Everhart; a stepsister, Ethel (Rudasill) Davis and stepbrothers: Howard and Merle Rudasill.

Janet was a 1958 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired from the Altoona Housing Authority as Manager of the Green Avenue Towers. Janet previously worked at Sylvania as a tube assembler.

She was a member of 1st Church of Christ, where she had been the church secretary for many years.

Janet loved working puzzles and cryptograms, spending time with her friends at the Swiss Club, traveling and visiting with her grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at First Church of Christ, 113 Good Shepherd Rd, Altoona, PA 16601.
